Pros

Co Workers are good. The management worries about bonuses and not much more.

Cons

There has been 2 injuries within a year that required hospitalization . One was not reported to OSHA and word is the second was. When is someone going to take a good look under the hood at the lack of good management. They continually get rid of the good leadership and keep the bad ones!

Pros

Markets are largely insulated from competitive pressure, so the core products are quite profitable and for a manufacturer, has been more stable than most. Historically has had a capable, loyal workforce but in recent years has devalued good people to the point where many have left and the survivors feel like they are under siege.

Cons

Owned by the Weir Group in Scotland, who is quite distant from the operation, other than to constantly demand more profits. Has been acquisition crazy and has consolidated many businesses to increase profits, at the expense of the employees. Quite topheavy with layers of self centered executives who like to abuse people.

- Benefits are unrivaled - Business acumen of the organization is a decisive strength - Compensation and review process for employees

Cons

- With a large organization comes a lot of tape and procedure, this can be time consuming when attempting to be proactive. - There are ceilings at certain levels that are tough to overcome. - Volatility in the market can contribute to fairly transient personnel base.
