Pros

Please read this entire review! I've worked in management and as a clinician and can genuinely say this is the best organization I've ever worked for. INTEGRITY - This company shares my values. Since COVID, I've evaluated what's important in my work and my life. I now live life with integrity because WellQor doesn't just talk the talk, they walk the walk and put the words they say into action. While the pay may not be the highest compared to other telehealth therapy providers, the overall job culture meets my needs personally and professionally. WORK-LIFE BALANCE - WellQor cares about my wellness and contentment as an employee and a person. The job is flexible and I love working from home. From the top down, Management doesn't pressure you to take cases you're not comfortable with or to increase your caseload or hours. I have owned a private practice and working for WellQor relieves me of billing, marketing, and cash flow worries that plagued me as a business owner. HIGH QUALITY CARE - Providing telehealth therapy is very effective. I feel appreciated and rewarded for quality work. I'm impressed and proud of the high quality psychotherapy we provide. The documentation is very thorough and our work is well regarded by insurance providers. Our clients love us - just read client reviews of our clinicians. OUTSTANDING SUPERVISION - Absolutely the most skilled and supportive supervision I've ever received. I'm part of a team and work under the Clinical Director in my state - he understands what's going on in the profession where I live. I choose how much time I want to spend with my Director and don't feel micromanaged because he takes time to guide my skill development. I'm encouraged to learn and grow clinically and have seen my skills grow since working at WellQor. SUPPORTIVE MANAGEMENT - No drama or politics. I've had chats with the CEO and Management and they take time to not only listen and care about what I think, but put my ideas into action. When I have trouble with technology or documentation, I get help with a pleasant attitude right away. Employee Instead of 1099- Because I'm a full-time employee, I get benefits like PTO, healthcare, a 401K and Flexible spending account. I don't have to budget for these from my own income. PURSUE MY SPECIALIZATION - my expertise is Geriatrics and I not only see clients in my preferred population, but receive clinical guidance appropriate to my specialty. WellQor is the only company that I know of that takes Medicare, so I have clients who've never been able to see a therapist - and they love it.

Cons

Telehealth psychotherapy companies are all start-ups. Changes to documentation processes take time, but my input is respected. T he company is growing constantly. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with the changes. I've heard this is the case with all of these start-ups.

Pros

Despite the independence of working for a telehealth company, there's always someone offering their assistance and support. When a mental health company creates a safe, supportive cultural for it's employees their employees can turn around and effectively do the same for their patients. I cannot understate how much of a difference that makes in the day to day functioning of the company and our interactions with patients. WellQor works hard to remain a competitive national telehealth provider, while also maintaining the same high level of integrity and ethics of a private practice. When a common day to day issue arises it's "our issue" not just "my issue" to solve.

Cons

I personally enjoy the innovative changes WellQor makes to enhance the experience for both it's team members and patients, but it can feel fast paced for some. The company is a good match for someone who enjoys subtle changes to enhance their day to day practices.
