Pros
Working in the Data Center Operations group for a number of years my co-workers were great people, and supervisors were fair. Constantly learning something new. Casual environment. Health benefits are fantastic as long as you use an in network provider. Growing and constantly working to keep up with current technologies.
Cons
There are no consistent skill levels or expectations of co-workers. If you were skilled and made a mistake the manager would come down hard, if you were relatively low skill and did so, rarely a word was said. Lack of communications between the different IT areas was lacking. It was almost impossible to move from the IT Operations area into a more technical area.
