Greatly enjoyed my career there, not without its faults though
Pros
The infrastructure team I worked with was some of the best I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of. I was given the opportunity to train and grow in my technical skills. A lot of interesting technology to maintain and support I was given the opportunity to expand my comfort zone of work once I asked for it
Cons
Some of the cons weren’t entirely their fault. A lot of teams needed more support to do the workload they had been building up, but after layoffs and hiring freezes that same amount of work was left to a lower number of people. Management would always agree that more support was needed but unfortunately it was impossible to get the approvals for a new hire. If you connect yourself with your work you need to be ready to be stressed a bit with the global culture. Having offices in Singapore, Boston, and London often means you will be getting emails and messages off your core hours and it can feel like it never stops. You need to be prepared to draw a line if that is something you care about.
