Pros

Good pay, low stress, good benefits.

Cons

Horrible red tape even to perform routine tasks. Poor documentation. The hardest part of the job is always finding out who is responsible for a specific function. Now they want us to pull up stakes and move for no reason, when it has been proven that remote work is valid. Close low usage offices, but don't expect people to move across the country because you don't like remote work.

Pros

If you’re able to pick up more hours as a teller, you have the potential to bring home a fairly decent check.

Cons

No respect for religious beliefs. Will try to force you to participate in “holiday” activities or make jokes. Stressful if you have poor management. Your manager may like to disappear from the branch for hours and make themselves unreachable. You may be subjected to bullying, harassment, and inappropriate touching/jokes from management and you could be terminated if your manager is jealous of you, doesn’t like you, or is on a power trip. Don’t try speaking up for yourself, be prepared for passive aggression. HR is a complete joke in handling concerns and reaching out to upper management will get you nowhere. No real chance of growth unless you’re a kiss up. There are better banks to work for out there. Find one of those.

Pros

Decent pay. Work with high net worth clients. Make a difference in people's lives who need help.

Cons

The position is "premier" where you are supposed to only meet with clients who have a high net worth and walk-ins are handled by the personal bankers, that's what the job description says and management harps on but the reality is you handle any person who walks into the branch. This takes away from the "premier" experience the high net worth clients are expecting as I've had multiple clients very aggravated with their wait time because I was busy helping a walk-in talk to fraud support over a $10 transaction for an hour.
