Pros

Decent direct managers Benefits 401K match

Cons

- Strict RTO of 4 days per week with requirement to make-up missed days due to weather (even if they close the site) or personal circumstances for non customer facing employees. -Low merit increases normally in the 2-3%+ range (if you're lucky) while the CEO gets an 18% pay bump (equaling millions of dollars). -Well known that male employees make more than females, evident by multiple lawsuits. -Constant layoffs and job uncertainty ($1 BILLION set aside for severance in 2024.) -Blatant corporate greed raking in billions of dollars while suggesting employees get a side hustle to deal with inflation during COVID. -Recently C-Suite stated we'll need to purchase our OWN computers to use at work. -Poor reputation, when are we NOT in the news?!? -History of retaliation for whistle blowers. -Managers only allowed to rate higher than Meets for a certain number of employees even when more people qualify for the rating. In addition not being able to rate higher than Meets for all employees during certain cycles to keep merit increases low. -Managers only under certain situations able to promote during the year to again keep salaries low. Normally all promotions are done at year end so they can wrap your promotion and merit increase into one lower percentage. Hiring freezes for back filling positions (replacing someone who left.)

Pros

I have worked for Wells Fargo for almost two years. I started as a teller and moved to a lead teller position. Wells has an extensive and great training program. They invest in their employees. In my district, I see my district manager every week and it feels less like a huge corporate company and more like extended family. Wells has great benefits and great incentive plans. Sales goals have consistently been lowered every year. Wells is focusing more on ethics and customer service than sales. You can get promoted in less than a year, like I did, if you work hard, take the initiative and ask for help you will succeed. Sales are extremely easy to achieve. Customer service is wells number one priority. You need to be customer orientated. The branch is extremely fun and high energy makes people excited to come to work. In comparison to Chase or BOA, Wells is the way to go. They invest more time and money into their employees and care about their development.

Cons

Hours are tough. Working 9-6 or like my branch,10-7 can be very tough. Not having a set schedule or working at a Sunday open branch is also difficult. Most branches are going to be transitioning soon to sunday open branches. The pilot program is going well and bringing in an increase in profit. Customer's can be entitled jerks.

Pros

Good people to work with. I made some great friends and learned from a few really good managers

Cons

The process for being laid off is a terrible experience. Upper management loses all compassion and understanding. Basically a what have you done for me lately approach. After giving up time of my life with my family to transfer to other cities to help the company grow, was laid off upon return to home city. Human Resource department is not fair. I unfortunately walked away from this experience with a very bitter taste in my mouth. No employee should ever be treated like this, especially after all that was given to this company.
