Talented and collaborative coworkers who genuinely care about their work. Opportunities to grow and learn within the organization.

Cons

The abrupt change from hybrid to fully on-site feels like a step backward in supporting work-life balance. This decision disregards the flexibility that many employees rely on to manage personal responsibilities. The shift has increased commuting time and expenses, adding stress and reducing overall job satisfaction. Management appears more focused on controlling employees rather than trusting them to deliver results remotely.

It was a great place to work before the new Leadership roles

Cons

Student Centric- that is hilarious. It is all about money. It is a puppy mill running hundreds of students every 10 weeks into the program. The NCLEX pass rates were much better prior to new Leadership. They made so many changes and cuts. The new leadership is composed of narcissistic personalities. It is a clique on campus since the new leadership. If you do not kiss A** then you will be unappreciated and you will run into difficulties when it comes to growth. They choose who to promote and who to let go based on A** kissing. Not about performance. That’s for sure!

They're burning out faculty

Pros

Starting salary is good but they don't go up at same rates as other colleges nor to match inflation/gas so one ends up working multiple jobs and burn out and exhaustion is high. They're REALLY good at diversity and inclusion SORT OF they are taking advantage of instructors across the board with work hours versus salary and benefits and no time off.

Cons

They don't have great healthcare, tuition reimbursement, tuition discounts for attending even WCU. They don't have breaks and plaster a 4 day break each year with meetings. Way too much work for pay that doesn't increase to match the cost of living nor do they even come close to matching other colleges.
