      Pros

      Great community bank. Great leadership from the top down. The senior leadership has created a culture that really values internal input on ideas, communication between departments, and the idea of putting customer's first. Striving to create positive lasting impressions for employees and customers alike.

      Cons

      West Gate Bank is extremely conservative when it comes to consumer lending.

      Pros

      With minimal financial experience, West Gate took me under their wing right away and treated me like their own. Before I started I met President and Owner, Carl Sjulin, who couldn't have came off as a nicer guy. With great communication, I never felt as if I was out of the loop, or didn't know what I was supposed to do. The management there is incredible! From Personal Bankers to the President, you'll never get treated as if you're unimportant. (I can promise that) As a student, they are extremely flexible with my school schedule, as they realize you're priority as a student is still #1. The list goes on and on. If you get an opportunity to start with this bank I would highly recommend it.

      Cons

      There are goals that need to be achieved, just like any other business. They can be challenging at times, but they definitely motivate you to do do your best! Other financial institutions may pay a higher wage, but don't offer near the benefits that can be received here.
