This is not a role for those seeking career development, strategic contribution, or leadership support. The environment was draining, disconnected, and at times, demoralizing. Outdated systems and inefficient processes were the norm. Despite having an ATS capable of tracking applicant data, manual spreadsheets and redundant reporting were still required across multiple platforms. This led to constant interruptions—phone calls, IMs, and repeated updates—making it nearly impossible to focus on meaningful, high-value work. Decision-making lacked structure and transparency. Advancement often appeared based on internal alliances rather than qualifications or performance, creating inconsistency and frustration across teams. Efforts to raise concerns or offer feedback were frequently met with silence, avoidance, or defensiveness. The culture favored self-preservation over dialogue, accountability, or trust. Those seeking clarity were often left isolated or dismissed. Culturally, the organization struggles with: • Outdated technology and manual workarounds • Inconsistent leadership and unclear advancement criteria • Poor communication and a lack of accountability • Resistance to feedback and transparency Despite nearly a century in business, these issues persist—undermining innovation, morale, and professional standards. In my career, I’ve never felt more overlooked, disrespected, or undermined.
