Pros

Loved the training. It was in New Orleans - 1 wk paid. That was nice. Westat paid for everything. I enjoyed doing the interviews-field work. Its great being a part in national health study. Makes you feel like your doing something positive and contributing to the big "humanity" picture.

Cons

Hours changed frequently to suite the need of the company. Making it very difficult to work out side of the hours they requested. Plus working in the heat sucked-worst part of the job-though sometimes it was unavoidable.

Pros

I don't have much to say about this company that is a Pro. They do pay on time. The training in Pheonix was enjoyable.

Cons

The supervisors seem to have little or no interestest in the safety of the Field Representatives. Regardless of the area or the verbal abuse we were subjected to by the public, the only interest that supervisors have are the numbers. Even when threatened by respondents the comments are - well when are you planning on going back. The pay is poor and and the risk is high. Supervisors are either poorly trained or just a person to fill a positon that has no business in being in that position

Pros

Hmm, well.. they did pay something. There is a 20 word minimum to complete this section but that is all I can think of for Pros.

Cons

The fact that constantly calling unanswered phones for hours on end to maybe reach a few cooperative survey participants is mind numbingly monotonous isn't enough. The constant monitoring and looking over your shoulder by various untamed levels of "supervisors" will drive a sane person up the wall. The $8/hr pay is just enough to buy some cardboard boxes to sleep in. Thoughts of "How did I screw up my life to fall to this level?" will chorus through your mind.
