Pros

Flexibility due to it being remote

Cons

They never stated it was a temporal role at any point in the hiring process so it came as a shock when they told us it was temporary and would end in two weeks

Pros

Nontoxic workplace with sane and steady management. Employee-owned structure contributes to a sense of openness and flatness. Work-life balance is good for most folks.

Cons

Pursues a lot of legacy business with the federal government that may no longer exist in the future. The nature of this industry is not innovative or cutting-edge.

Pros

The projects were interesting, the people are very smart and passionate, and the remote work was great.

Cons

The workload, which included working evenings and weekends to meet deadlines, the normalization of this, and having few vacations and holidays. I was laid off after federal funding cuts.
