Pay is pretty low for the amount of training some of us have (PhD with experience). If you're technically strong you could get paid a lot more elsewhere, but the work here is interesting and feels meaningful so that's the trade-off. There are also the typical drawbacks of consulting with billable hours and non-stop project deadlines, but people are generally respectful of work-life balance and understanding if family or personal needs come up

Pay raise is okay, not large increases.
