Overall this was a good experience working for Weyerhaeuser.

Pros

A lot of good people work here. Unfortunately a lot were also lost when they did a corporate downsizing in 2010.

Cons

Management will force business changes down from the top without imput from the rank and file on how it will impact their business. Management feels no other competitor can offer what they do but your customers know better than that.

Weyerhaeuser promotes a world class safety culture. They're ahead of most facilities in technology and lean manufacturing. They provide a great place to learn about fast paced automation.

Cons

They don't provide assistance for education. The retirement plan is a little above poor at best. Odd shifts including weekends for skilled labor.
