Pros

Great company to work for as the company owners really care about their people but have the wrong people in IT leadership.

Cons

Problem is with some IT directors as someone mentioned earlier they run it as dictators. Recent changes in Quality Department are ridiculous and leadership hires people who are not qualified for the job and only from vendors who they have personal relationships with. I feel like many of us are given hard time as we do not share the same culture.

Pros

This was a great company prior to the “takeover” masked as a merge.

Cons

Nobody is actively trying to fix any of the issues. There are things falling through the cracks left and right. One department has a manager who has been allowed to drive the department into the ground and somehow got approved to move to a new department without any repercussions. People are quitting on a regular basis. Benefits are more expensive for those employees who do not reside in IL, yet they make no supplement for this who live in GA. The only employees who seem to matter with this new larger company are the original Wheels employees. They have now started moving our work to AI generated companies which means down the road they will be shifting more to that process so it just seems like we are working ourselves out of a job. When other areas are failing they put things on other departments and they never take them back or do anything about the problem. We are severely underpaid for the amount of work we are doing while the CEO constantly reassures us the reason we should be “ok” is because he purchased a second home in our area. Constantly talking about how much revenue the company has made but they are not willing to pay employees what they are worth. Willing to lose big clients over software issues. Nobody is listening. ELT is just making decisions without any thought of what will come next.

Culture gone down the drain

Pros

Stable job. Coworkers are nice. Wheels makes so much money that it's unlikely the company will fail. This is why the poor overall quality of the company exists - there's no incentive to be better.

Cons

Leadership is TERRIBLE. Leadership promotes "One Team" yet NOBODY wants to help each other (between departments) or work with anybody to solve problems. You are not allowed to disagree with leaderships decisions, no matter how terrible they are. Nobody knows what the future looks like anywhere in the company because leadership wont tell us. People are burnt out and don't care anymore because that's the culture leadership pushes. "Barely Good Enough" should be the company values listed online. I worked in Donlen about 5 years ago, then moved over to legacy Wheels in 2021. They chose the horrible Wheels systems over the arguably better donlen systems because it was cheaper to train less people. They did the same with the Leaseplan side too. This is a cheap company for cheap businesses looking to utilize a FMC. If you work here, don't even try to change things in the spirit of improvement, because you will be told to F-off by either your manager or other departments. The monthly town hall calls regarding the companies status are a joke too - absolutely zero content in those calls yet they last an hour. It's really disappointing how downhill the culture from three companies has gone, I'd say it's at an all time low right now. All the good reviews here are from people that have been at legacy Wheels for 20+ years and don't know any better than what it is now - gotta love the boomers in a bubble here.
