Pros
There are great, innovative hard working people working at Wheels! The Fleet industry is an ever changing industry which make change constant. This keeps the job interesting.
Cons
There are great, innovative, young people working at Wheels however, they are not tapped for their knowledge or given opportunities. Internal structure of growth is challenging. Be careful the level you come into the company as you are not promoted for you background! The silo's between the operations and business teams is a toxic environment especially working between two offices in the US. The merger (take over) has created a breading ground for insecurities and lack of team work across offices. One team moves into a beautiful plush state of the art building while the other team is left hanging on promises that are not being kept. The CEO likes talking more about himself than getting to know his team. The visibility of the upper management is zero in the building. They are traveling, in meetings, out to dinners, hosting guests and forgetting the most important part of the business is the team below them that run the business. There is no culture. HR is run like an army, it takes so much to get anything done through such a large team!!!!! Wheels can not be run like a family organization any longer as it is merging to create a wider global company. However, many of the policies and process are run as if the Franks still owned the company. New leader ship is needed to bring in fresh new ideas.
