Pros
Tons of adacemic freedom, mostly because high school building admin have no clue what goes on in a classroom- they don't set foot in them. AMAZING health benefits- zero $ premium for non-tobacco users who complete health screenings like well-woman appointments or dental cleanings. Parents rarely in your face.
Cons
Problem students are simply shuffled from school to school instead of being expelled from the district (althought explusions do occassionally occur after multiple offenses). This results in high mobility of students- not unusual to get a new student in May who was kicked out of another school for punching a staff member. Almost no funding. Technology access is a joke unless you are in the math department.
