Employee's are generally respected, and comp package relatively good for publishing (focus on negotiating a high starting salary) Stock options for Director level and above Good handle on digital opportunities Relatively new senior leadership team, drawn internally Very good benefits

Cons

Execution on digital strategy unfocused and slow Annual raises can be small even for high performers Unless you live in Northern NJ or NYC commuting to Hoboken HQ can be a challenge Secretive upper management culture

Pros

If you are in an area that Wiley values, you will benefit from good HR policies and benefits

Cons

There are too many new managers with no company history and while they have grand plans, there is a lack of training and support to see it through

Pros

Great benefits - best I ever had. Excellent medical coverage and lots of paid time off.

Cons

In an ever-changing publishing world, trying to figure out future strategy. Confusing culture - used to have a strong "Wiley family" presence, but now - like most publishing companies - is just focused on the bottom line.
