Pros

- people are generally friendly and hard working - good benefits for families - once you're in, they'll keep you - good work/life balance - generous pension - company-paid annual recreation day - subsidised on-site canteen

Cons

- salary is uncompetitive - US mindset from HQ clashes with the mindset and work cultures of other offices around the world - once you're in, they'll keep you - even if you're dead weight - management is disconnected from ground-level operations. it's like they're working for a whole other company. - annual restructures - low morale - turnover seems particularly high for publishing - inadequate technology - no focus on career progression

Pros

There is none whatsoever!

Cons

This organization looks great on paper but is filled with horrible management, toxic work environment, salesman approach to everything. No careeer opportunities, hates employees who are smart & ambitious. Micromanagement is everywhere. No respect for its employees and very dishonest with their practices.

Pros

The recruiter was nice and professional

Cons

I left my good pay contractor job and took a pay cut to join Wiley. I was told even saw the presentation deck of the portfolio with my name on it that I was hired to deliver the portfolio. Two weeks after I joined, my manager asked me not to go to the office and saying she did not see the leadership in me. I was not what she was looking for ( after 7 people interviewed me)? And only two weeks after I started which I had not even started working at all? Then I was fired..... I still had the email when she hired me saying how great I was, how lucky she was. She just knew I was the right one. I still had the text she sent me saying "thank me for joining her team". And two weeks later I was fired for not showing the leadership?!!!! My manager was so insecure, incompetent
