Pros

Decent benefits and bonus are given every year.

Cons

Management does to honor the company slogan of "Wiley the place to be" and "At Wiley people comes first, business second". Low morale. Higher management doesn't really appreciate the hard work of colleagues and often take the credit for.

Meh

Pros

Good benefits (although the pension was frozen) and an on-site cafeteria which is great since there isn't much going on in Hoboken.

Cons

Nominal career growth, old-fashioned approaches, Flintstones-era technology, boys club, "Gorilla Glass" ceiling that's nearly impossible to penetrate. False sense of security for the old-timers. Many thought they would retire from Wiley but didn't. A major reorg that dragged on forever and likely still isn't finished.

Very strange place

Pros

Great life-work balance, very nice benefits package (except base pay)

Cons

Nothing ever gets done, nothing ever changes. Constant, never-ending power struggle on very senior levels. A lot of critical decisions are made to support personal egos of the senior management. A lot of unprofessional people in Technology areas.
