      Best Nursing Home in Lancaster County

      Pros

      Salary was fair but working at Willow Valley is A LOT nicer than 95% of the other nursing homes in Lancaster County PA. Lots of employee discounts for meals and area businesses, free cake for birthday, free turkey dinner at Thanksgiving, nice Christmas bonus, lots of opportunities to pick up extra hours, company strives to keep its facilities clean, neat and renovated. Job opportunities for people of all ages.

      Cons

      Health insurance plan a bit pricey and per other employees, there used to be a lot of other monetary incentives to pick up extra shifts, higher rates of PTO accrural, benefits offered to employees who work less than full time but I think that's happening everywhere.

      hard to get vacation time approved upper management has no regard for lower paid hard worker always understaffed underpaid for the amount of work expected always expected to work overtime

      free stale donuts-some nice people working very hard at the bottom

      Cons

      they throw out the apples, oranges, strawberries, bananas, etc. and fire you if you eat those- they force you to punch out and then return to work they hire many relatives
