Compensation. Completely closed compensation system. The elite few swear it is the best system but really it is a mechanism to cloak where to money is really going and to avoid contempt amongst the ranks. Management (or mismanagement) has failed to identify its primary goals which should be to reward the associates and midlevel partnerships since the undeserved fat checks it gets are through the sweat of those individuals. Instead, the upper levels (in significant part) produce nothing, but get paid way to much which somebody has to support. (Oh.. that's right. It's the associates and middle partnership. Developing a book of business it almost futile. you will not get fairly compensated for it. More than likely you spend the majority of time working to keep it when another higher ranking partner tries to steal it or take credit for it. Horrible moral amongst associates and contract partners.
