Pros

The pros of working at this firm is, you raise your profile as an attorney because they are well known, and you have a lot of resources at your disposal to help your practice. It's a good stepping stone to aid you in finding a better job elsewhere. The benefits are also pretty good.

Cons

The pay is shockingly low for a firm this large, especially considering that they expect you to bill 2100 hours a year. The work environment and morale at the firm are terrible, because the attorneys are underpaid and overworked, and as a result, the firm is a revolving door. The firm only cares about your billable hours, and does not value the professional development of its attorneys. If you do make your billable hours for the year, the bonus they give you is a joke. This is no place to build a career over the long term.

Pros

Great people. The office culture has made huge improvements in the past year and I see more improvements in the future.

Cons

Big NY based firm that does not compete with surrounding area job market in benefits, pay, raises or bonuses (never both and sometimes nothing). High turn over rate.

Pros

I met some wonderful people in this firm and have lasting friendships. great vacation time if you are there after 3 years and pretty good benefits.

Cons

I have worked with this firm for many years, impeccable reviews along with being a strong team player and experienced with work. but if you are not particularly liked by one partner who brings in much money, then you could say good bye to your job, unless you allow him or them to flirt with you and go along with the way they mock other co-workers. No room to grow, capped off salaries for exempt staff, no bonuses, and no appreciation
