Pros

Very good benefits at a good price. New offices. On-Site Cafe, free parking

Cons

They hardly close the office during blizzards. Sometimes they open with a delay. When it snows at work they hardly let you leave early. No bonuses Too many systematic layoffs that occur Feb-Apr. Everyone automatically worries. Out sourcing of positions happens as well. Good performance reviews do not ensure that you will not get l;aid off. Very little room for growth

The Biggest But Far From The Best

Pros

For associates looking for experience and then to leave, a good place to be.

Cons

A toxic environment to work. The firm caters to the few and demoralizes the many, with a revolving door at every level of the firm. No collegiality or cooperation. Internal competition is practically required to get ahead. The best and brightest in their practice areas move to other firms when they can. Too many bean counters in administration and in the top partnership (who do not bill any hours) make 2100 billable hours an "excellent year" (a quota) for the (vast majority) of attorneys. Nepotism makes the world go round. The CEO looks the other way. Too many associates get no raises year after year. Go elsewhere, young grads.

Pros

Great experience from day one, lots of feedback and support to pursue new practice areas and develop your individual skills.

Cons

Hours and compensation! The firm has a huge emphasis on getting your hours in, and not much else, and the compensation is well below market for the amount of time this job demands of you.
