Pros

Wilson Sporting Goods is a sports persons dream. Every floor of the headquarters is dedicated to a different sport. The best reasons to work for Wilson Sporting Goods is the team culture and feeling like you are part of the industry. With the team culture, you are expected to be a close player and supporter of company goals and directions. If you are an enthusiastic team member you can really do well here. And you can’t get closer to the action than with the official supplier of footballs to the NFL. The Super Bowl is always a reason for the employees to celebrate.

Cons

Being a sporting goods company, the work environment at Wilson Sporting Goods is highly competitive. Even to the point of being aggressively competitive. If you are not up to the test of being constantly and consistently challenged then this is not the place for you. Sports are aggressive and competitive and so is Wilson Sporting Goods. The IT infrastructure at corporate is very out dated so high speed internet and access to most modern web 2.0 facilities is very limited. In addition the Wilson Sporting Goods brand has been diluted quite a bit. Selling to lower value sales channels such as Wal-Mart and Sam’s club has taken a toll.

Pros

the perks and the people that shop their. the friends and old sports teams that still buy their equipment their just as they did when i was a kid. I would work from 2;45 till 930 every night right after school it got old after a little while but it was a job nothing serious. the only thing that i really did not like was the computer systems. They were so old that half the time credit cards would not work sometimes we would hav to ask if they had cash. with all this being said it was a great first job but i needed a career change.

Cons

the pay and the hours
