Pros

Benefits are decent and the work is easy.

Cons

Corporate only cares about turning a profit and squeezing as much money out of residents as possible trough unethical pricing strategies. They also underpay their employees compared to other companies.

Pros

There are so many pros. I’ve been with several companies in my career and Windsor is by far the best. There are things like our regular career apparel allowance, HSA with investment options, bi annual recognition awards, employee appreciation week, holiday party, all major holidays and even minor ones like indigenous peoples day off, and my favorite pro is our annual operations conference where the company sends all property managers, service managers, and up to a different city every year to celebrate, be inspired, and connect. But lately, I think my favorite pro of the company has been their willingness to change. The world has changed a lot since 2020, and Windsor has been willing to adapt with it. From early salary increases (in October versus at the beginning of the year) to a $0 rent increase for all associates living at a Windsor property, to upcoming changes like considerations to reworking the career apparel and greater diversity measures, I can say I’m very proud of the measures Windsor has taken these last few years.

Cons

There are only two cons I can think of: 1. All housing discounts for onsite staff are 20% and for maintenance are 30%. In the last year or so, Greystar and Griffis Residential have both increased their housing discounts to 40% and 50%. I believe it’s a huge benefit to have associates living on site and it would show tremendous appreciation to these associates to increase the discount. Of all the companies I have worked at, 20% is the lowest discount I have had and with the price of the rental market and given that our communities are beautiful and on the higher end, rent still hurts. 2. Depending on the market, opportunities for growth can be limited. Some markets are doing really well and are growing in size quickly and this can make it seem like markets who gain communities only by 1 every year or so are a bit more stagnant. The good news is that Windsor is committed to growth, but some may have to wait a little longer than others.
