Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you had a good experience with Wintrust. If at any time our employees feel that they are not getting the support they need, we would encourage them to speak directly with their management team to express their concerns. It is always good for us to hear from past employees, and we wish you the best moving forward!

Thank you for taking a moment to leave your comments. We are glad that you have had a positive experience with Wintrust. While we do like to celebrate accomplishments, we hope you never feel pressured into attending any events outside of work that you may be uncomfortable or simply do not want to attend for other reasons. We value work life balance and that means sometimes saying no to after-hours events.

Pros

Most of the people are nice to work with, but this really depends on the team/location you work with. I have experienced a company "culture shock" being promoted from one area to another. If you want to work outside of a bank branch, the work/life balance, independence, and opportunities are much better from what I understand. I would recommend working for the company, but I would not recommend working in a bank branch.

Cons

The technology is very dated and frustrating to deal with. Your advancement opportunities are largely dependent on the whims of management, as opposed to performance. I have personally experience and seen in the cases of my peers, where our advancement was stifled and career paths rerouted because of the sole benefit of management. However as I mentioned in the Pros section, this is largely dependent on the team/location you land with. I have had some managers that wanted to take me to the moon as they advanced in their careers. I had other managers that forced me to leave the company in order to get out form under their thumb.
