Pros
Real Mission Focus: This is the biggest pro. Leadership truly believes in the mission; it's not just a slogan. Progress towards the mission is much more important that other metrics (revenue, profit, etc). The recent shareholder structure that was approved is a clear signal that the company is set up to remain mission-focused for the long term, which is incredibly motivating.
Autonomy and Execution: The culture is very much "less alignment, more executing." You are given a lot of autonomy and flexibility to get your work done. If you're a self-starter, this is an amazing environment to be in.
Stable Strategy: Unlike many tech companies, we aren't constantly making huge, disruptive strategy pivots. There's a clear and stable direction, which allows teams to focus on executing and building.
Great People & Transparency: The people are smart, nice, and always willing to help. Teamwork is a strong point. There's also a high degree of transparency on everything, including calendar, everyone's calendar is open, and there's no culture of "pretending to be busy."
Cons
Top-Down Product Strategy: The company has historically been quite top-down, which has meant less product localization for specific markets. This is starting to change (India is a good recent example), but there's still progress to be made in empowering regional teams.
Compensation and Benefits: Need more competitive package to attract and retain top talent in the current market.
