There aren't any real pros. Look elsewhere if you are wanting pros in your job.

Cons

-The company is currently being sold. -Over 50% of engineering staff have left in under a year (if that doesn't dissuade you from joining I don't know what will!) -Terrible attitude -Depressing atmosphere -Several cases of nepotism -Performance reviews mean literally nothing (raises are based on who is management's favorite person). Even if you set a goal there will be zero support to help you achieve it. -Zero diversity in work (you will model floodplains and never get any other opportunities no matter how much you ask) -Mandatory overtime (thank god because they underpay) -Several meetings telling people to stop talking in the office. -You will never meet a single deadline (did meet one my entire time there). -You will have zero opportunity for growth.

Salary ok, benefits adequate. Easy to coast if you are in the right job.

Cons

Badly run cowboy organization. Lots of lip service and platitudes. Most managers way out of their depth. Poor career progression unless you know one of the Aberdeen mafia.
