Grieving Workday

Pros

Flexible RTO and Cloud Care

Cons

Many of us are grieving the Workday that we joined. It’s unrecognizable now. I’m sad that we are now focused on acquisitions and revenue targets - it’s exhausting and difficult to get excited about putting money in someone else’s pocket. Instead of focusing on Company Values, we focus on what our new leadership wants - documentation and updates. We spend a majority of our time prepping for updates instead of innovating. Moving quickly and breaking things is outdated and doesn’t work for enterprise business suites. We do not ask customers what problems they need us to solve, we focus on escalations and applying AI where we can deliver quickly.

Pros

Smart, collaborative colleagues who care about doing good work. Strong technology, well-established processes, and opportunities to work on high-impact projects across the business. Compensation and benefits remain competitive.

Cons

Recent layoffs and reorganization have changed the culture. The company feels less “employee-first” and more cost-driven. Morale has declined as workloads rise and communication transparency has decreased.

Thank you for your thoughtful review. We recognize there is always room for improvement, but at Workday, we’re proud of our commitment to our Workmates and the 'employee first' mindset that has guided us from the beginning. We appreciate both your feedback and the recognition you shared in your review.
