A Complete Farce

Pros

-High salary for fresh graduates, way above the market rate. -Flexi-work improves productivity. -Sincere and congenial colleagues -Some senior staffs are genuinely passionate -Great breadth in work scope

Cons

-Salary increments are virtually non-existent before you move up to the next level of hierarchy (they always tell you 10% increments, but subsequently deducts 10% from your annual bonus..). Besides, which company in the 21st century still standardize employee salaries across the globe? Haven't they studied basic compensation bench-marking? To think that they actually do HR systems is unimaginable. -Completely clueless in global business operation - half the senior staffs cannot even complete a single sentence in English verbally, not to mention conducting business globally. -Lack of competent leadership and training for juniors. -Unethical way of doing business that doesn't work outside Japan -Pessimistic business performance for years (performance is not published as they are not a listed company but you can easily get from research databases)

Pros

- Working with good engineers from some different countries - Quite high salary (only) for freshers

Cons

- Bad Evaluation System We are judged by our seniors with A, B, C, D, E. Somehow, anyone may get E with unclear reason. Even after we worked so hard, leaved the office until the last train, came to office on the weekend, we may still get E with no acceptable reason. Once you get E, you will be terminated even if it's your first E. If you get C or D, you may also have a chance to be terminated. - Random Termination Anyone can be terminated, no matter how good you are. Currently they need to reduce their expense by firing people. And to terminate people, they will give you E as an excuse. "You are fired because you get E". So they will brand you as a very bad engineer with unclear reason, and they will terminate you. - Poor Hiring Decision They started to do mass hiring since a couple years ago. Suddenly quantity become more important than quality. After this bad hiring decision, and the revenue is not increasing as expected, sadly they are blaming us (employees) for it. - No Raise, Even After a Promotion Currently get a promotion to higher class doesn't mean we will get raise. In the past, they still increase our salary with a small amount, but it's not worth the effort & time.
