Pros

Everyone I met on my team as well as other departments was genuinely kind, loving, and wanted to be at World Vision because of the good work this company does in the world.

Cons

Higher management is not always looking out for the best interest of current employees, they favor external candidates rather than developing internal talent.

A full life for every child--it's such an empowering thing that resonates through all of our goals, staff members and drives the good work we do around the globe. Thanks for recognizing this and your honest critique of where we can improve as an organization. Although we do have a full department dedicated to talent development and staff training, we recognize the need to make this more accessible to more staff and continue fostering our talent from within. Thanks again for your review and for serving with World Vision International.

Pros

I love working for an organization that is doing great things in the world and that also incorporates my faith. World Vision has an outstanding culture and employs people who are both smart and nice. Salary is competitive for the nonprofit sector, benefits are competitive for any sector.

Cons

The only cons are those that come with any large company: Sometimes takes longer than necessary to get things done, top-down communication could improve, etc.

Your review was encouraging to read, we appreciate that you took time to leave your thoughts and feedback regarding your 3+ years working with World Vision. We aspire for all employees to feel fulfilled working to help every child experience life in its fullest - we're glad that you have experienced this fulfillment. With Our Promise 2030, our new 15 year global organisational strategy, we're looking forward to many years of greater communication and innovation. Strategic Imperative number 3 "Collaborating and advocating for broader impact" especially touches on this. Our goal is to continue changing from largely working on our own, in our way; to partnerships, joint ventures and advocacy with those who share our goals. These partnerships will ultimately help with communication from the top down, and the bottom up! Thanks again for your review. We hope you continue to enjoy many years of being on the World Vision team!
