Pros

Haven't been any for 5 years

Cons

Absolutely everything, 18 tonne lorries being sent around villages, country B roads, central London where it has no business being, impossible deadlines, random last minute add ons that take an hour to get to for ONE SMALL ITEM, you call the office about the risk of a route they try threaten you to do the route then something goes wrong then its your fault, not enough delivery equipment for all the crews, not enough health and safety equipment for all the crews, porters are borderline modern day slave labour, 35 degree heat wave management dont care then send a report to drink more water but refuse to hand out bottled water, office staff have their favourites who will work 40 hours a week doing 6 dropds a day finishing at 1pm most days and get paid 48 hours, every one else working 55 plus hours a week doing 10-12 drops a day finishing 5/6pm, trucks and boxes are late half the time and boxes are so poorly loaded the safe loading zone no longer exists so your forced to use the tail lift increasing the risk of injury and yet management turn a blind eye until you get hurt then guess what its your fault and then you don't get paid for the days off, EVERYTHING IS A CATCH 22 TO AVOID ACCOUNTABILITY. Crews get threatened with physical violence and the office staff joke about it. Bonuses are at managements discretion but not noted so you wont know what you've done wrong to lose it and its paid sametime as payday so you lose 1/3 of it to tax and NI, navigation equipment is seriously outdated and thats somehow the drivers fault. You dont work weekends but unless your one of the chosen few your too exhausted to actually enjoy it
