A handful of faculty are actively pursuing research.

Cons

The quality of faculty has plummeted over the past several years. Many faculty have little to no funding to hire grad students because they aren't active in their fields. Many high quality, prolific faculty have left the university, leaving behind those that are just mediocre.

Wonderful peers, staff colleagues, and people doing the work with students.

Cons

Like many HE institutions boards are dictating the direction of the university instead of data. If you are in Humanities or Social Science WSU ranks you at the bottom of the pile for pay and general support. The higher level administrators have created a depressing and demoralizing environment for faculty.
