Pros

Hourly employees are all friendly and helpful. Good group of people

Cons

Management doesn't listen to the employees working on the products. Used to be one of the best places to work but since going public and being sold this company has gone down hill. Employees not treated with respect or listened to.All about the bottom line.

Pros

The people and the technology are what keep me at this job. It also helps that X-Rite holds the major market share for many of it's segments and has few competitors.

Cons

There are currently little to no opportunities for advancement. The product road-map is seemingly still being hammered out from the merger that took place two years ago.

Pros

There is a high level of camaraderie among employees here. The parent company (Danaher) has a wonderful benefits program including affordable health insurance and excellent PTO, vacation, and paid holidays. You don't need any experience to work here, they will train you to work wherever there is a need for labor on the factory floor.

Cons

I observed organizational inertia, as well as problematic employees, that contributed to an unnecessarily high work load. Attention is paid to very small (possible insignificant) problems, but larger issues tend to be ignored. In addition, many people prefer to work overtime, seemingly relying on it for financial stability, so there was no incentive to complete the work on time. This resulted in OT being assigned to everyone in the cell. Overtime was scheduled when the company placed orders that were impossible to fill with the people power available to them, as well as when people failed to work efficiently. I think this was partly due to morale being low. Everyone I interacted with was under the impression that there was no chance for promotion or appreciable raises.
