Pleasant working environment, but suffers from a culture of technical mediocrity.

Pros

XPand is a comfortable place to work, with a friendly and personable atmosphere.

Cons

I began this job with excited feelings about the project I would work on, a federal government agency contract dealing with employment and qualifications. But I did not find strong leadership at XPand in terms of defining what standards of quality we should aim for, and the product we ended up delivering was an embarrassing mess. After working there for some time, I began thinking that this company does not aim very high in terms of delivering excellent work.

Pros

Free Friday bagels and Monday lunches.

Cons

It's a sweatshop environment where the CEO and COO has not direction and does not appreciate the hard work. It's the people that work hard that keeps the company a float.
