The people you manage (dockworkers & drivers) are amazing people that take great pride in their jobs.

Cons

Terrible training (set up to fail) 12-14 hour shifts No breaks (expect to have your lunch on the dock) Dirty environment(your ears and lungs get full of dust and wood chips in your eyes) High turnover rate Toxic upper management Don’t waste your time trying to get experience here.

Nationally and internationally recognized company providing transportation solutions to our clients. Opportunity to grow my career within the transportation industry. Has helped me grow professionally in my career with a variety of different challenges.

Cons

Accountability is not widely shared from top to bottom, side to side. IT promises the moon on the capabilities of the technology available to Senior Leadership with little to no feedback from Operations, or support to it, that always comes up short in order for Operations to deliver solutions to our clients. Limited mentorship opportunities for anyone that is not located in or at the corporate/business unit headquarters. Limited opportunities/increasingly difficult ( red tape/permissions) to transition from Operations to another area of the company.

The leadership team invites employee ideas and the grants employees the trust to create and build success through those ideas and diverse perspectives. The company has taken ownership for creating a culture of inclusion, focusing on inclusive leadership and diversity, equity and inclusion across the organization that reaches leaders, managers and front line employees. Employees are well compensated and opportunity for development and advancement are available, better defined and promoted at all levels. Fast paced. Fun. Great People.

Cons

XPO maintains a traditional approach to office work/hours/location and may not yet offer the flexibility of other companies in today's job market. The in office set schedule supports team and colleague interaction, sharing of ideas and collaborative space. Employees have seen more flexibility as we navigate the effects of the pandemic and our leaders are addressing the benefits and opportunities available to that keep our employees most effective and safe.
