Pros

high hourly wages, fellow employees are good people, management is laid back. If you can survive the first few years, this company will pay you very well.

Cons

very corporate and over managed, seniority based scheduling, very poor performance from the dispatch and office personnel causing daily frustrations for drivers, new equipment provided for those with highest seniority only, very beat-up equipment for everyone else, reactionary management, nobody seems to have a plan. Cameras in every truck, shift score computers in every truck, no smoking allowed. Most trucks have no radio or CB, no service garage means most equipment has unfixed problems. Third party

Pros

The biggest pro is by far the OT. If you choose your warehouse correctly in the DFW area you can make an average of 35-40k a year (Picker/Puller/Loader) and more if you are a Lead. Some Leads in a few facilities actually made more than the Supervisors. Also, if you don't like the particular warehouse you are at now you can always transfer to another facility in the area or another state. They have good benefits as well, which is a plus if you have a family. This company also has a STRONG HR department that EVERY employee should use. If you have any problem with Office staff, OM's, or GM's don't hesitate to go to Corporate HR. They are on your side, as long as your claim is legitimate, naturally.

Cons

Lead or Supervisor is as far as you will get without a degree. Leads start at $13 to 14 (DFW area) Supervisors at $43-45k a year *Remember XPO has a fantastic HR Dept. so if MGMT. is/when/they will doing anything to you that is unethical or unsafe or just plain shady let Corporate HR know.

Pros

Like working with an extended family

Cons

Little to no raises. Have to be in the "in" crowd to get anywhere.
