Pros

40 hour work weeks, virtually no overtime asked for. Low-stress environment. Lots of employee activities (sports, community service, bi-annual company parties, occasional lunches).

Cons

Lots of new college grads and older developers who aren't very proficient programmers and don't spend much time updating their skills. Lots of technical debt and very little focus on reducing it. Company feels like it's managed like a startup despite having 500 employees. It feels like senior management knows the property loss insurance industry, but doesn't understand how to build software.

Pros

The company is great and the people there are even better. I absolutely working there. Very family friendly and not forced to work weird or long hours. Summer sports every friday between departments is a lot of fun.

Cons

Couldn't get the salary I thought was deserved. Other than that, there are no other cons. I may go back one day.
