A lot of freedom as an engineer to get an assignment, do the assignment and work with many different people from Plant operators, purchasers, vendors, contactors and get projects started and completed. The boss was excellent in many ways. He let you be the engineer and get your job complete. A lot of respect is given you at Xcel Energy.

Cons

The bean counters and left wing freaks up in Minnesota are constantly announcing more little tedious tasks for us engineers to do so they can MONITOR the engineers more closely. But, this hardly out weighs the benefits.
