Benefits, time off, decent salary, reasonable work/life balance.

Cons

The good ole boys club is serious business here. There's a major nepotism issue. If you're part of the CAO's golf/hunt club you're promoted repeatedly (unless you're a woman or person of color). If you report a concern to the compliance hot line, it's not confidential, so people are afraid to speak up. Most of the leaders are egomaniacs, especially the CEO and CAO. I don't know how a utility gets away with it. Its bad.

If you aren't part of the CEO/CAO 'in crowd' you won't get very far. CAO has hunting and golf buddies that get promoted.
