OK company, headed the wrong way

Pros

People, safety ethics, long term stability, and benefits.

Cons

HR tends to hold up promotions as much as they can. They do not let the company promote from within unless they are overqualified for the position. The general direction of the company now seems to be focused on management and financial, whereas previously it seemed to be operations, maintenance, and engineering. I don't think this is a sustainable long term direction. Hiring contractors when the company used to do it cheaper themselves will result negative consequences.
