Pros

- Great culture (circa 2022), great people, great WFH & work/life balance - If you work hard, have good managers, you can move up quickly - Pays OK, if you negotiate, you can get a good package, nice perks

Cons

- Significant tech debt slows down everything - Way too much consensus building required - Exec keep on coming up with critical priorities on top of agreed strategic bets, resulting in 10+ top priorities - Too many layers of middle management, all they do is chat with each other rather than move the dial for Xero & customers

Pros

- Good perks and benefits - vacation time and wellness days

Cons

- favouritism exists among team members, New Zealand clique runs the show. It's almost like high school. Promote their friends. If you're not in the "in" crowd, you're on the chopping block - country manager is amazing, but middle management lacks diversity. - no direction, zero coaching - The product is lacking common functionalities, hard to compete with other players on the market - they Hire the same type of people on teams - they preach the #human value but it's all for show - turning into a call centre with new CEO taking over - expectations are not clear - managers are too busy making themselves look good vs actually caring about employees
