The culture shift has made the workplace really depressing

Pros

Good number of user base, big in the market, good peers

Cons

Random subjective decisions made by leadership, and don't really care about actual customer experience. The culture has shifted—everyone feels their leadership is unhappy about their performance. Management seems to undermine rather than uplift, handing out low ratings and showing satisfaction with only a small minority. It’s demoralizing, and it's unclear who’s truly performing versus just playing politics. Teamwork has been replaced by judgment and competition. It’s sad to see a once-satisfying workplace become a place where most people stay just for the paycheck.

Pros

Work life balance is good.

Cons

Management is poor and salary is below market rate. Company culture has changed and everything ties to your performance.

Pros

- You can work remotely, kinda... - Nice offices usually, sometimes with a gym, but that depends on where you are based. - Good work-life balance, on paper. But in practice, again, it depends on a lot of factors. The shares keep going up in the long run.

Cons

- A lot of incompetence these days. And there's gonna be even more, now that quite a big slice of know-how is leaving the company. - You can't speak your mind. We used to make it a big thing at Xero: you could be open, honest, ... well, not anymore. People are scared of questioning leadership, I saw it with my own eyes, and felt the consequences on my own skin. - diversity and inclusion on paper. But then, diversity of opinion is not welcome (anymore).
