Pros

Flexible hours; Work-life balance very good; No lack of work or projects due to layoffs. Days go by very fast. DfLSS is encouraged for engineers and technicians who want to get to Green Belt Level. Black Belt projects are encouraged. Good people to work with. Managers are typically well seasoned intelligent engineers who have patience and understanding when solving problems.

Cons

Tremendous loss of historical and engineering institutional knowledge due layoffs and valued people quitting. Corporate Management is cutting R&D at the rate of about of 10% per year. This makes it difficult to get software upgrades for existing engineering instrumentation, new software to increase individual productiveness or cutting edge replacements for scientific and engineering instrumentation. Too many lower end managers. Some only manage 3-5 employees. Silence from Corporate Xerox about direction of company. Problem solving for our valued customers takes much longer to achieve due to lack of resources. Bullish on services and Bearish on Technology. Raises on salaries nearly non-existent over past five years.

Pros

Casual dress, laid back attitude, peers can be good people, free internet, beautiful site location in wilsonville oregon, air conditioning in summer, heating in winter

Cons

Every year it gets worse and worse, morale is at an all time low. 10 years ago it was a good place to work and people were excited to come to work and deliver new products. Now I get depressed as soon as I walk inside the door. A lot of top quality people have left on their own because no one feels like the company is on the right course. It's like the Titanic and Ursula Burns was the iceberg.

Pros

This is for the West Sacramento office: Easy parking; publications department were an exquisite group of talented, professional individuals; its leadership is smart and savvy (leads, supes and Manager).

Cons

None, really...except that when I tried to move to another department, the HR rep was aloof and disassociated, and not really willing to assist.
