Pros

Virtual work Well known name Past reputation that is about all one can say

Cons

Too many leaders are employed and continue to be employed ONLY because their parent or relative was a prior senior leader and can be arrogant Patronage employees know how to work the Xerox political machine but are unemployable Too many employees only work experience is at Xerox Healthcare plan is well below average and getting worse No feedback allowed or encouraged of boss and likely punitive CEO is irrelevant presence in the organization Constant financial pressure generates uncertainty Job growth based on politics instead of performance - promotion decisions not logical Senior leadership disconnected with clients and employees - they do hold giggling quarterly webinars but demonstrates them as ineffective leaders No vision, focused always on short term cost cutting moves Huge amount of jobs moved and moving offshore to Guatemala

Pros

Great people. Lots of room for growth. Always have help when you need it.

Cons

Not the cleanest but improvements have been made. Also employee hiring should be filtered more.

Pros

Xerox has a lot of good people working there. They provided medical, dental, 401k, etc. It is a well respected company name. Most of your managers are off-site so they do not micro-manage you.

Cons

A lot of the jobs are outsourced. Working with them can be difficult at best. The medical/dental type plans are not the greatest. You have little to no growth opportunities. They make lot's of promises to employees about training and education, they never pan out. The management at Xerox are not sure what they are doing month to month. It is always changing. They also do mandatory fur-lows where you are required to take a week off of work with no pay. It is REQUIRED! (You cannot substitute vacation for fur-low.)They sure don't talk about that in interviews.
