Pros
interesting technology generally nice, friendly, respectful people to work with likely future company growth flexible employer with hours, working from home and other aspects (but take into account there's a good chance you'll be ~60 hours per week more or less to get your tasks done)
Cons
Too much work to be done, and working 12 hour days is the norm in my experience. Base salary is quite poor for years of experience. The stocks have helped bump it up, but a lot of that is luck due to stock market increase of last few years (won't happen forever). Slow to get promoted or get much more than a few percent salary increases despite more responsbility taken on. Inflation makes the salary increases seem even more paltry.
