Pros

If you're lucky enough to be on a good team with a boss that is not robotic, it's a great experience. The people you choose to work with defined the experience, from what I could tell.

Cons

There is absolutely no culture at Xometry. The priority is money from customers and not relationship building with the suppliers. Senior Management was unpleasant to work with, inflexible, and not open to any suggestions, regardless of your experience level.

Pros

Coworkers are awesome Inbound leads

Cons

I know what you’re thinking reading this. “This is just another pissed off ex-employee yapping”. Please take what I’m about to say to heart as a present employee: Churn and burn is the name of the game. No encouragement from management. You’re thrown into the deep end and expected to thrive right out the gate. NOBODY HITS QUOTA NOBODY WORKS HERE LONGER THAN 2 YEARS IF YOU HAVE A FAMILY, DON’T WORK HERE IF WORK IS THE ONLY THING YOU CARE ABOUT IN LIFE, THEN MAYBE THINK ABOUT IT

Pros

Good pay, Good benefits, Cool technology

Cons

Extremely unprofessional environment, it's factory work so the standard is a little loose but a manager routinely discussed their personal, intimate activities. You will not actually learn how to fix any of the printers. They are all on lease and must be repaired by the leasing companies technicians. This leaves no room for modification or automation. This is not the safest work environment. There is an exceptional amount of dust in the air that does routine ESD damage to the machines, parts come out at extremely high temperatures and some must be post-processed before they cool. There is nearly no chance for career advancement.
