Land of the walking dead

Pros

Strong products. Attracts some very talented people. Decent benefits.

Cons

The company has starved its departments to the bone - and then some. Burnout and failure to make employees feel valued is causing a severe brain drain of talent from once-leading brands. Riding existing market share but poorly investing in new products, innovation, or its employees - a failing long-term strategy. Severe absences of leadership and poor morale/culture. Near non-existent training for new employees in technical roles, which will cost the company down the line. Critical function gaps widespread due to attrition or eliminated positions. Salaries well below market rate for engineers.

Good people and a lot of potential

Pros

Great people working really hard to deliver to expectations. Base pay appears to be on the top end and benefits are in-line with industry standards.

Cons

Not all, but much of the Executive and mid-level management leave a lot to be desired. Too many projects with no priorities and lack of decision making. Too busy managing up with little concern for those below, especially on the engineering side. No bonus structure below executive team with poor yearly raises. Lack of uniform process and tool usage.
