Pros

Great mission and strong leadership

Cons

Overall a great place to work. Non-profit work is not easy, but it is very rewarding.

Horrible pay and out of touch senior management

Pros

Advocates are extremely friendly and easy to work with. The cause and clients are remarkable.

Cons

Senior management is horrendous. Pay is not competitive... take home pay is at the poverty line for advocates. It's an all female environment, so backstabbing is inevitable. You do not start accruing time off or sick pay until you have been there for 6 months (past the point of burnt out).
