Pros

- Co-workers are friendly, understanding and helpful - Working for a good cause - Really great history going back 100+ years - Provides some great services to the community: rape crisis, domestic violence victim assistance, counseling, therapy (sliding scale), affordable day care - Department Directors have amazing attitudes and are very experienced

Cons

Senior management is the problem: inexperienced, disorganized and low transparency. Low employee retention resulting from lack of employee appreciation and heavily depleted employee moral. Board members have been contacted by employees and have agreed to anonymous surveys from employees before but never followed through.

At this location, I honestly cannot think of any pros.

Cons

Everything said is based on this location. They hire valuable people for a very low salary. They micromanage and do not treat their employees with respect. Upper management lack the knowledge of leadership. There is no way to move up, no way to better yourself and def not a place to start your career. They do not follow their mission statement because they do the opposite of empowerment of women. Turn over rate, average 14 per year.
